Upon staying at Dunes Motel, I found its proximity to Pacific University quite convenient for my trip. The location aligned with my preference for a straightforward commute to the campus. However, my experience was marred by disturbances during the night, with individuals loitering in the hallways in the early hours, affecting the overall ambiance. The worn-out condition of the motel, exemplified by water-damaged flashboards and musty air conditioning, detracted from the promised comfort. While the availability of nearby dining options was a plus, the neighborhood's questionable safety was a concern, only somewhat alleviated by the police substation nearby. The affordable pricing initially seemed attractive, but encountering issues with misplaced deposits and unwelcome guests soured the deal, urging caution for future visitors seeking a balance between cost-effectiveness and quality stay.
